Collective Soul – Shine

Give me a word,
Give me a sign.
Show me where to look,
Tell me what will I find?
What will I find?

Lay me on the ground,
Or fly me in the sky.
Show me where to look,
Tell me what will I find?
What will I find?

Whoa, heaven let your light shine down
Whoa, heaven let your light shine down
Whoa, heaven let your light shine down
Whoa, heaven let your light shine down

Love is in the water,
Love is in the air.
Show me where to look,
Tell me will love be there?
Will love be there?

Teach me how to speak,
Teach me how to share.
Teach me where to go,
Tell me will love be there?
Love be there?

Whoa, heaven let your light shine down
Whoa, heaven let your light shine down
Whoa, heaven let your light shine down
Whoa, heaven let your light shine down

Give me a word,
Give me a sign.
Show me where to look,
Tell me what will I find?
What will I find?

Lay me on the ground,
Or fly me in the sky.
Show me where to look,
Tell me what will I find?
What will I find?

Whoa, heaven let your light shine down
Whoa, heaven let your light shine down
Whoa, heaven let your light shine down
Whoa, heaven let your light shine down

I’m gonna let it shine
I’m gonna let it shine
Heaven, let your light
Shine on me

Oh, yeah,
Yeah
Heaven, let your light
Shine on me

Shine on me, yeah
(Shine) C’mon and shine

Tony Matterhorn Trolls Alkaline Plans To Pay Only Vybz Kartel Music At New Year’s Day Show

Tony Matterhorn is trolling Alkaline the ultimate way by playing only Vybz Kartel Music.

I doubt Alkaline will care too much about this but at the end of the day artists need disc jockeys to be playing their music. Tony Matterhorn is booked for the upcoming Bad Behaviour Beach Party on New Year’s Day at Sugarman’s Beach in Portmore and he says he will only be playing Vybz Kartel music at the event. This means that if you’re a Vendetta fan then this is the wrong party for you.

Di Unit Portmore Champion Sound and Renaissance Disco will also be providing music for the event, so its unclear if they will be playing any of Alkaline’s music, but Matterhorn certainly will not. Sources told us that the veteran sound system selector has also planned to not play Alkaline music in the new year as a stance against the young deejay’s disrespect earlier this month at his birthday bash in Florida where he called TM a “pu**y” in front his face.

Seems there will be no peace between Tony Matterhorn and Alkaline anytime soon and Vybz Kartel is the unwitting beneficiary of their beef.

Big Sean Gave Bryson Tiller Some Advice About Joy and Love Frequency

Big Sean gave Bryson Tiller a few word of advice about the frequencies of love and joy.

Tiller, who has had a successful year for his career, went on Twitter on Wednesday to get some things off his chest. 2017 is undoubtedly a year where social media and internet bullying and trolling dominate the digital space. Most celebrities have a love-hate relationship with some of their fans and some folks can stay behind their keyboards and troll celebrities all day long.

“Spent a lot of time tryin to fix what haters didn’t like about me only to be reminded by those who love me that i was never broken.. focus on the love never the hate,” Bryson Tiller tweeted. Big Sean seems like he was just having a positive day and went on Twitter to share a positive message with his fans when he got wind of Tiller’s statement and decided to share his thoughts on it.

“Facts! U can’t please everybody bro, atleast please yourself! No point in changing your frequency of joy n love to accommodate opinions or hate. I had to learn that too. Keep up the good work, 2018 lookin bright!” Big Sean tweeted. Sean Don has been dealing with his own critics on social media about his recent joint project “Double or Nothing” with Metro Boomin. I personally think that the album was excellent.

Papoose Confirms Remy Ma Is Pregnant With Couple’s First Child

NEW YORK, NY – MARCH 30: (L-R) Remy Ma and Papoose attend Breaking Boundaries presented by Women On The Move And HerSource With NYU & OBE at NYU on March 30, 2017 in New York City. (Photo by Johnny Nunez/WireImage)

Papoose confirmed on Twitter that Remy Ma is pregnant with the couple’s first child.

The Love and Hip Hop New York couple has some good news to share with their fans for the holiday. Papoose shared a photo from an ultrasound room and also a few pics of the two doing some pottery artwork. “Hand made these bowls, for our unborn child. #pottery #blacklove,” he wrote on IG. The caption maybe a bit cryptic but he did say clearly “unborn child.”

The caption could mean anything but certainly baby making is among the many meanings. It could also mean that they are just getting check up to make sure that they are healthy to make a baby or simply just trolling us. If the couple are indeed expecting, then Pap is in for an adventurous 2018.

Earlier this year, Papoose and Remy Ma opened up about her painful miscarriage. “This was a hard time for me & my husband & we thought long and hard before deciding to share this part of our lives with you all,” she wrote in the caption. “I was totally against it but in a fit of crying @papoosepapoose said ” you are not the only one going thru this , we will get thru it” …made me realize how many women like myself experience the same thing and don’t have a strong partner by their side to say it will be alright.”

After trying to have a child for a while their dreams may have finally be coming through. Remy Ma has a son name Jayson from a previous relationship.

Chance The Rapper Says Lil Wayne Is The Michael Jackson Of Rap Music

Chance The Rapper thinks that Lil Wayne is the Michael Jackson of rap music.

The Chicago emcee recently got into a Twitter row with some fans who claimed that he is the only independent artist to make it big and no other indie artists will ever get as big as he is. That assessment didn’t sit well with Chance who taste mainstream success over the last two years. The argument started over an article about the same topic involving a conversation between Apple Music’s Carl Chery and the hosts of Everyday Struggle where he spoke about the deal Chance the Rapper made with Apple to release his 2016 album The Coloring Book exclusively on Apple Music for two weeks.

Chery didn’t disclosed the full amount of the deal, but did say that Chance is a phenomenal artist with a great team around him. What really got the “No Problem” rapper angry was when some folks suggested that no other indie artist will reach the same height as he is. 2017 was a big year for artists signing major label deals. One fan on Twitter then asked him who is the Michael Jackson of rap.

“People jokingly say Em’s the Elvis of rap.. Well who’s the Michael Jackson of rap?,” the fan asked to which Chance responded saying, “Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. He been in this sh*t.” Dwayne Carter is Lil Wayne’s real name and comparing him to the great king of pop is far reaching given the heights that Michael Jackson reached in music.

The Offspring – The Kids Aren’t Alright

When we were young the future was so bright
The old neighborhood was so alive
And every kid on the whole damn street
Was gonna make it big in every beat

Now the neighborhood’s cracked and torn
The kids are grown up but their lives are worn
How can one little street
Swallow so many lives

Chances thrown
Nothing’s free
Longing for
Used to be
Still it’s hard
Hard to see
Fragile lives
shattered dreams

Jenny had a chance, well she really did
Instead she dropped out and had a couple of kids
Mark still lives at home cause he’s got no job
He just plays guitar and smokes a lot of pot

Jay committed suicide
Brandon OD’d and died
What the hell is going on?
The cruellest dream – reality

Chances thrown
Nothing’s free
Longing for
what used to be
Still it’s hard

Fragile lives
Shattered dreams

I got my head checked
By a jumbo jet
It wasn’t easy
But nothing is
No

Woo-hoo
When I feel heavy-metal
And I’m pins and I’m needles
Well, I lie and I’m easy
All the time but I’m never sure
Why I need you
Pleased to meet you

I got my head down
When I was young
It’s not my problem
It’s not my problem

Woo-hoo
When I feel heavy-metal

Well, I lie and I’m easy
All the time but I am never sure
Why I need you
Pleased to meet you

Yeah yeah

Green Day – Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)

Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go
So make the best of this test and don’t ask why
It’s not a question but a lesson learned in time

It’s something unpredictable but in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life

So take the photographs and still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial
For what it’s worth, it was worth all the while

It’s something unpredictable but in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life

It’s something unpredictable but in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life

It’s something unpredictable but in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life
